Spirit quartz is a stunning natural beauty with large points encrusted with hundred of smaller termination points. Spirit quartz is also sometimes called cactus quartz and porcupine quartz. Spirit quartz is mined only from Magaliesberg Moutain in South Africa. It was first discovered in 2001.
Spirit Quartz can be amethyst, citrine, smokey or white quartz. The most common is a light lavender amethyst spirit quartz. Spirit Quartz can also have a combination of all four within one stone.
All of these spirit quartz points are amethyst although a few have citrine mixed in.
Amethyst Spirit Quartz has a cleansing aura and can be used to rid oneself of negative energies and attachments. It has also be used in spirit journeys and with spirit release.
