Zhanguo Agate Pair 32A

This agate pair features gorgeous orbicular agate spots as well as traditional banding.  This cutie has orange, red, peach, and yellow banding as well as stunning clear quartz druzy.  It also has several goethite inclusions.

Zhanguo Agate is a rare variety of agate from China. It comes from 3 localities but Hebei, China is the most common.  Zhanguo agates are named after the Zhanguo, or Warring States, period in Chinese history due to the fact that it's vibrant red and yellow colors are similar in shade to burial chamber decorations of that time period. 

Zhanguo Agates are known for the bright red, yellow, and orange bands but also have rare pink, purple, green, and blue color formations.  Some zhanguo agates have crystal geodes inside and amethyst is not uncommon to find in the geodes. 

Zhanguo agates are said to be good stones for grounding, stability, protection, and courage. 

Some of these pairs are photographed prior to polishing and will be updated once they have completed the polishing stage.  All agate pairs will be polished prior to shipping.
